You Know You're A Writer When...

How do you know why you're a writer? What weird writer quirks do you have that show the entire world that you're a writer?

-Doing internet searches that probably put you on some kind of watch list

-Talking about your characters with your family and friends, "Oh, that's  totally something <name> would do!"

-You carry a notebook everywhere, going through several each yea, just to write story ideas in

-You start out writing a short story for school and end up with a novel plot line that you shove into your desk draw of other plot line

-You buy 50 cheap notebooks during backtoschool shopping for 10 cents each and use them all within a few months

-Going to sleep is hard... then's when the good ideas come!

-Anything you do has a potential to be a story

-When you narrate everything you do with your normal writing style

-People who irritate you will live forever: revenge comes in many forms, the personal favorite of mine, writing disliked people into annoying characters

-You can explain the plot line of a movie ten minutes in

-Characters names are sacred! You spend more time looking for the perfect name than actually writing that day

-The words added to dictionary part of the auto correct system is full of 500 words from various stories

-You aren't friends with people who don't read. Period.

How many of these apply to you?

Recent Updates

So, as I sit here listening to Jamie Grace, I have decided to update y'all on what I've been working on. If you go to the Works in Progress thingy up there ^, then you'll see the lists of titles I'm working on. Funny thing: I'm in the middle of 5 novels and a novella trilogy. Yay!

I love writing!

Funny story: I broke my foot Tuesday night, and as I went to the orthopedic doctor person, funny thing happened... I have a book about novel publication that I love, and will read over and over, and so I planned to bring it along with my Rubik's Cube to read again.

Mum told me I needed to bring a "fun" book. What's more fun than novel publication? Other than writing, of course.

So, I just finished revising (well, knowing me, I'll still be revising it in a few years) the first book in the trilogy I'm writing. The first book is Wilderness Game, and the Second is most likely going to be called "A Risen Safety." The third is called "One by One" and I've had the plot lines written out for months!

I'm not a plotter, though. I like to just write, and go where my characters take me.  And my story. And probably the location. Or the directions given to them by a dystopian society ;)

I'll write more tomorrow, but that's just a brief hello.
